“A Christmas Carol” is based on Charles Dickens' timeless classic. Ebenezer Scrooge embodies the epitome of a curmudgeon, firmly believing that personal wealth surpasses the importance of others' happiness and well-being. With an exasperated "Bah! Humbug!”, Scrooge encapsulates his disdain for Christmas cheer and charitable giving. However, he is forced to confront his selfish ways on Christmas Eve when three ghosts guide him through his past, present, and future. Through their intervention, Scrooge recognizes his shortcomings and embraces Christmas morning with a heartfelt "Happy Christmas," spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those he holds dear. A Christmas Carol is a delightful adaptation of Charles Dickens' most celebrated tale.
The creative team comprises music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music direction by Jill Brunelle, scenic design by Ryan M. Howell, costume design by Natalie Biebel, lighting design by Curtis Shields and Blake Kile, sound design by Bobbi Rene Fullerton, and props by Lisa Kuchta.
