Join us for a musical celebration of Belgian romanticism and its influences. Crowning the program will be the famed Franck Violin Sonata, the most beloved duo ever written for violin and piano. From poignant melodies to passionate canonic build-ups, the Franck piece captures listeners' hearts like no other. Franck drew inspiration from other French composers as well, from the ground-breaking evocations of Debussy to the short-lived genius of Lili Boulanger, and at the center of the swirl of early 20th-century music-making, renowned violinist Eugene Ysaye. Don't miss this unforgettable feast: violin sonatas by Debussy and Franck, piano works by Boulanger, and Ysaye's incomparable Ballade for solo violin.
Light refreshments will be served after the concert, offering a chance to meet the musicians.
All programs are free and open to the public. Registration appreciated!
