Good News, Fairfield!

If you haven’t met Luke Palisi (11) and Sofia Palisi (9) yet, you should. I have never spoken to such kind hearted and happy kids—you just want to put them in your pocket! This brother and sister duo are on a mission to spread good news and knowledge in their hometown.

Even with online learning, these two kids find the time to research and write their articles after they’ve completed their responsibilities with school. They’re sticking to mostly online research, but hope to be able to interview people one day (who’s in!). For Sofia, it’s been improving her writing skills and she’s excited to be learning techniques on the computer. “It’s a win win,” Sofia smiles. Luke quickly adds,

We felt that people wanted to hear more good news in their life. And we decided to do this together because we do a lot of things together… we’re brother and sister!
— Luke Palisi, Co-founder Good News Sunday Fairfield

As of mid-January 2021, Luke and Sofia have launched their own website www.goodnewssundayfairfield.com. Every Sunday you will see a new edition posted, and if you sign up your email, you can have it sent right to your inbox! While they used to deliver a printed copy of Good News Sunday Fairfield to your door, this powerhouse team has taken a break from deliveries for safety reasons. But don’t worry, they’re excited to get back to it as soon as possible. However, they’re still deciding if a career in journalism is in their future. It’s just too early to tell.
