Questions and Glam-swers: Bronzer vs Contour
Question #1:
What is the difference between bronzer and contour?
Answer:
Bronzer is used to fake a natural glow from the sun and to add warmth to your skin. When you hear the term “bronzer,” think sun tan and warm tones.
Contour is used to enhance the appearance of the physical structure of your face. When you hear “contour,” think of your bone structure underneath your skin and the shadows it creates onto the skin that is sitting on top. To contour, use a more taupe or gray toned product to mimic these shadows.
Contour first to sculpt, then use bronzer to add warmth.
Question #2:
Should I be using my fingers, brushes, or sponges to apply my makeup?
Answer:
Whatever works for you! I personally use my fingers when I want to get a quick application, brushes when I want to achieve a more perfected and seamless application, and sponges for blending and touching up. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to which tools to use!
