fairfield county’s own bluepoint wellness

In a large Post Road plaza in Westport, CT, under a small black awning is the mirrored glass entrance to BluePoint Wellness—a discreet, convenient, and upscale Medical Marijuana Dispensary. The first in the area with a location that provides ample parking, easy access from surrounding towns, and a well-designed, inviting, comfortable, clean, and spacious interior.

Upon entry patients are greeted by friendly front desk employees and required to follow Covid-19 protocol including wearing a mask, having their temperature taken, and state law; providing their Connecticut issued Drivers license or ID and Medical Marijuana license before being admitted to the lobby. Once inside, patients are surrounded by a hexagonal room with offices on the right, where they can have discrete one on one consultations with pharmacists, and display cases on the left with Bluepoint branded merchandise including shirts, hats, and journals for those who want to keep track of the medication that has worked best for their treatment. In the center of the room is a pillar with large flatscreens scrolling through the multitude of treatment options in stock from flower to vape, edibles to tinctures; it’s all here. Indecisive patrons can consult with a pharmacist at the counter to narrow down their selection based on ailment or preference between strain and consumption formulation.

There is certainly no shortage of options on the menu at Bluepoint wellness, with inventory from four licensed Connecticut based producers subject to strict policies, and quality control regulations. Connecticut Pharmaceutical Solutions, Advanced Grow Labs, Theraplant, and Curaleaf each provide quality Medical Grade Cannabis in formulations including: inhalation, ingestible, sublingual, and topical all tested by 3rd party labs and labeled with exact levels of key components like BetaCaryophyllene, Humulene, Limonene: Linalool, and THC to name a few. Like reading the ingredient label on a package at the grocery store, you know exactly what your getting. Discerning minds rejoice!

This is where I met Nick Tamborrino, Bluepoint WellnessFounder, Dispensary Manager, and career Pharmacist. With over 38,000 registered patients in Connecticut and more than 8,300 of them in Fairfield County, Tamborino has found an ideal location.

“I was never an advocate for cannabis. I look at this as a medicine and a new career opportunity as a pharmacists,” said Tamborrino, a 20 year veteran pharmacist. “But seeing it firsthand the positive influence and results it has on patients’ lives has been unbelievable.”

Today, Bluepoint Wellness serves about 3,200 patients in Fairfield county, and is involved in the community in many more ways than helping provide treatment for those in need. Bluepoint Wellness is a proud participant and sponsor of Connecticut’s own Pink Aid event this year on October 7th, 2021. Pink Aid is an organization dedicated to compassionate care for people battling breast cancer and their families. Tickets go on sale late August and there are sponsorship and other donation opportunities currently online at https://pinkaid.org/pa/
