Questions and Glam-swers: Beach beauty

Question:

What makeup products can I use to look fresh and glowy at the beach with minimal effort?

Answer:

Here’s my recommendation for a quick makeup routine to get that natural, dewy, beach-ready look!

1.)   Sunscreen: Always start with a sunscreen! Look for a water-resistant formula and apply it generously to your face. (My pick: Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 36 – it also offers the coverage of a CC cream so if you want lightweight coverage, it can also act as your foundation and concealer!)

2.)   Foundation and Concealer: If you want more coverage than the Alastin HydraTint Pro offers, opt for a medium coverage foundation that leaves a dewy, radiant, natural finish and that is easy to apply with your fingers.  (My pick: Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation)

3.)   Waterproof Mascara: Curl your lashes and top with a waterproof mascara which will both hold the curl and prevent smudging. (My picks: Shu Uemura Iconic Eyelash Curler and Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Waterproof Mascara)

4.)   Cream Blush and Lip: Give your cheeks and lips a subtle flush with a cream pigment that adds a lit from within radiance. Opt for shades like peach, coral, watermelon or rosy pink. (My pick: Honest Crème Cheek + Lip)

Remember, beach makeup is all about embracing an effortless look.

Focus on protecting your skin, enhancing your features subtly, and choosing products that are resistant to water and sweat.
